There are some pretty great deals out on diapers right now! Huggies has four active coupons out. The first is on their facebook page:

Second is another $3.00 off ANY Huggies Diaper

Walgreens also has a great diaper deal. The Walgreens brand diapers are on sale for $5.99. You can ask for the Infant Care Coupon Book and use the $2.00 off coupon to score these diapers for only $3.99.

Extra bonus: If you go to Walgreens TODAY (3-31-11) you can bring the 15-20% off Family and Friends coupon printed from walgreens.com. This makes the diapers only $3.19 for a pack today!

Happy diaper hunting!

3/22 Freebies (and better than free!)

There are two coupons out right now that will be better than free at Walmart! The first is $3.00 off ANY KY product.

KY Coupon

There is a 2 ounce package at Walmart for around $2.62. Remember you can print 2, and you get the overage toward your basket purchase!

Next is $2/1 ANY Scotts Songbird Selections Wild Bird Food coupon.

Bird food

Some varieties of Scott's at Walmart can be priced as little as $1.16, so again, you get overage towards your basket purchase!

Target-

Target.com has $1.00 off any Circo children's product. The socks are typically under $1.00 so free!
They also have a $4.00 off Halo SleepSacks. These are typically on clearance so you can get them for as little as 98cents!

Both Coupons can be found here:

Target.com

** Maybe if I start stocking up on baby stuff now, Rob will quit rolling his eyes at me when I mention more babies :)

Walgreens-

Lastly is free Air Wick Freshmatic Compact I-Motion starter kit:
At Walgreens the Air Wick Freshmatic Compact I-Motion starter kit is buy 1 at $7.99 get 1 FREE.
You use 2 $4/1 coupons found in the 3/20 Smart Source from your local newspaper (one coupon may need to be adjusted down a penny)
Final cost – both for FREE!

There is also a printable coupon here: AirWick coupon, but I am not sure what your deal will be after the coupon, because this is only for the Ultra Starter Kit.

Better Roundy's coupon policy site

Here is a better write up of the Roundy's Coupon Policy.

It states that you CAN stack coupons, however the unfortunate thing about these stores is they do not accept printed 'free' or 'bogo' coupons AND coupons are only for purchased items. That means if you have a meal deal or a 'get one free', you can not use a coupon for the free item or the meal deal item and save extra. Roundy's also does not give you overage.

The official word on Walmart

The official word on Walmart is they may... or may not accept your Register Reward coupons from Walgreens... Yes I am just as confused as you.
According to Walmart's coupon policy they accept Catalina coupons that have a valid remit address for the manufacturer, SAY manufacturer coupon, have a scannable bar-code, and an expiration date. HOWEVER they just added that they do not accept checkout coupons that are for dollars/cents of the entire basket purchase. I had no problem at the Walmart here getting them to accept my RR, and some people state that they always have taken them. I guess it's just the luck of the draw!

Reach Toothbrush Deal

At Walgreens right now there are Reach toothbrushes for $1.59. You can buy four and get a $4.00 Register Reward in return. You can also use this coupon here to save even more on your purchase. Remember you can print 2! Also if you have any previous Register Rewards to use, this may be a good time to use them, it's been a slow week!

Squeeky wheel gets the grease

When dealing with companies that you spend a lot of your hard earned money on, never be afraid to complain. Some of you may or may not have seen my latest complaint about Pull Ups.

Our 4 year old had been waking up in the morning with the waist of his Pull Up looking like that. I sent an e-mail to Huggies, and gave them the lot number etc. and they promised to send me coupons. I got them today, and much to my surprise they look like this:

Now just to wait until Walgreens has a really good deal on Pull Ups to use the 2nd coupon!

What better way than to start your day with fresh fruit!?!

Working in produce for almost 9 years told me a thing or two about fresh fruit, and I can tell you that Driscoll's is one of the most consistent, and awesome fruit growing companies out there! Given this fact and that you hardly EVER find coupons for fresh foods, this coupon rocks!

Simply sign up for their newsletter and you can print a .50 off coupon. (Remember that you can go back and get 2!)

3/11 Score!

We stopped first at Walgreens and got the cereal cups and the PediaCare. I was able to get the 5 cereal cups, and they took off .79 each with the store coupon. I also got 3 of the PediaCare with 5.00 off each, Walgreens coupon, and my $3.00 off 2 and $2.00 off 1. That brought them to .97 cents for the 3 boxes. Total spent at Walgreens including tax $5.22, and I got back $8.00 in Register Rewards for the cereal cups! I also received another $1.50 off PediaCare coupon, and a $2.00 off 3 Pebbles Cereals.
(Just a disclaimer, if you are in Sheboygan, don't go to the Walgreens on 14th for this cereal deal, they are out of the Fruity Pebbles lol).

Next stop was Target, where I got 2 4 pack travel Shout wipes for .97c both with 1.00 off coupons, so free, and the Men's Dove, which is $3.99 at our store, with a $2.00 manufacturer coupon, and $1.00 Target coupon, so .99c. Total spent at Target $1.18.

Walmart was a flop, which was kinda good because I forgot my coupons outside anyway!! They got rid of their .99 c coupon station, and they do NOT have the Rayovac Lithium batteries. I have heard rumors that Home Depot has them, so I will try that soon.

My total spent today $6.40. :)

3/11 Shopping

I guess I will be taking 3 of the kiddos with me today for some shopping in the AM (got a concert this afternoon!). 3 stops again, Walgreens, Walmart, and Target, in no particular order.

Walgreens deals for today:

The rest of my PediaCare bottles,
I have 2, save $2.00 on any PediaCare, and 1 save $3.00 on 2 PediaCare coupon left. The store coupon says limit of 3, so I'll have to save that last coupon for tomorrow or another trip today!
PediaCare coupon:
$2.00 off 1 PediaCare
Print two, then you use the Walgreens coupon out of the flier for 2 four ounce bottles ($6.99 each), total cost FREE!
Next thing at Walgreens:
Buy 5 Post Fruity Pebbles cereal cups at $0.79 each with in ad coupon, pay $3.95 + tax, and get back two $4.00 Register Rewards! A $4.00 moneymaker!

Walmart:
Hopefully you guys printed your Rayovac coupons with the Spring Forward Giveaway!!
I was able to get two $9.99 off of any pack of lithium 9V, and two $.99 off of any Rayovac 9V. I am going to see what kind of deal I can get. Pretty sure that it will be close to free, with a possible moneymaker depending on the price of the lithiums if they carry them.

Target:
Men's Dove Deoderant has reset!
Print two of the $2.00 off Men's Dove Deodorant here Men's Dove, Coupons.com
Then print two of the $1.00 off Dove Men's Care products here: Target Dove Men's Care Coupon
Final price, free-.99cents depending on your store. (I was at my limit somehow so only able to get on Target Coupon! Poo)
I am also going to check out the travel pack of Shout Wipes.
You can print them here Coupons.com Shout Wipes.
It may or may not be available to you. The coupon is for $1.00 off any Shout wipes, and the travel wipes are said to be .99C. We'll see if I can find them!

I'll come back and report on my winnings later ;)

A new way to get free samples (and maybe get paid too?)

I was led to this site from my personal favorite coupon blog, hip2save. The new site is bzzagent.com. Basically what you do is sign up and they give you things to try, either on the computer, or in a box to your house. Pretty cool to me! The other bonus for this program is that you can earn myponts points, and use your points to buy things online. Just getting free things to try won me over.

That being said, my first thing to try was Educator.com.

You're right, I was thinking, what the heck? Once I gave it a try I found it pretty interesting, IF it is something relevant to you. It says it's aimed toward middle school through college students. From what I tested out (what I was interested in) I will break it down into two sections, Math, and Biology.

Math: If this program is aimed toward middle school students it is WAAAY too complicated. I couldn't even understand some of this stuff! Even the basic math is advanced algebra. The 'tutor' for basic  math was very interesting and it is an actual person.

Biology: I'll start by saying that I LOVE biology. It was my favorite topic in high school. This was just plain boring. Even the beginning section, 'Welcome to Biology' was really not relevant to what biology IS. It didn't even give you the definition of biology.

Overall I would NOT spend $35.00 JUST for the 'basic' program. Unfortunately I think paying for a real life tutor would be more effective.

Today has been pretty lame, so here's so money making sites.

I am a fan of surveys AND of course Swagbucks. My favorite survey sites are Opinion Outpost, My Survey, and of course Pinecone Research. The sign-ups for each are as follows:

Pinecone
Opinion Outpost
My Survey

By far the best out of all these is Opinion Outpost. You only need 50 points to cash out a $5.00 Amazon card, and can rack up the points quite quickly.
Pinecone pays you through pay-pal $3.00 per survey, or they can send you a check, but it takes a while.
My Survey you need 1100 points to get a $10.00 Amazon card (can you tell I'm crazy about Amazon?)

There are two other sites I use to make money but I warn you they take a LONG time. You need $30.00 to cash out, and basically you click e-mails to get paid. They both ARE legit though. I have cashed out on both, and am 40 cents away from cashing out on Inbox Dollars again.

Happy earning!

Free 9 volt batteries

1:00 Central time today Rayovac is giving away free 9 volt batteries to the first 3,000 people. It is a Smart Source coupon to print, so be sure that your computer is compatible with these types of coupons. You also have to allow the free battery app on Facebook. Go to this link: Rayovac and on the left hand side you will see FREE 9V Batteries. Click on that and follow the directions then simply wait until 1:00 CST. Good luck!

PS: keep in mind that with these types of coupons you can usually push 'back' and get another one.

FREE picture prints?

A friend on Facebook just reminded me of how you can get a bunch of photos printed for free (some you have to pay shipping) from companies such as Snapfish, and Artscow. Simply follow the directions on the links below and get-a-printin'!

Damn you coffee maker!! ... and other stuff.

So on two weeks of the month, Rob gets up at 5:50AM and I reset the alarm for 6:50 for myself. This morning I knew something was wrong because I heard him use the microwave. Microwave noise = no coffee. Damn. So I roll myself out of bed and sure enough the coffee maker finally bit the dust. I guess this gives me a reason to visit our closing K-Mart and see if they have any left. Unfortunately they are no longer accepting coupons at this store. If they don't have one there I'll have to head over to Walmart... again. I have a printed 'free' chip coupon that I want to try there anyway to see if they will still accept it (their new coupon policy says no printed free coupons). I'll be sure to let you guys know if I had any luck.

Today also may be another trip to Walgreens because there are two new PediaCare coupons you can print to get more FREE PediaCare products.

Buy 1 PediaCare Pain Reliever Oral Suspension 4oz $6.99
Use the $2/1 coupon found here
Plus, use the $5/1 in ad coupon
Final cost FREE!

I will be able to combine this with the other $3/2 coupon that I have and get 3 more bottles for about $1.00. The $3/2 coupon is also on coupons.com if you did not print it already. Walgreens ad states a limit of 3 bottles per transaction though.

Another visit to Target will be in my near future as well because coupons.com finally posted up the Shout coupon in my area.
$1/1 ANY Shout product
The Shout 4-Pack travel size wipes are priced at $0.97 at Target, so FREE after the coupon! You can print two of these as well.

Just a side note I want to remind all of you that if you have Swagbucks, use your Swagbucks coupon site to print from coupons.com!!! You will get 10 Swagbucks for every coupon you print from there that you redeem. It credits in 8-12 weeks.
 Don't know what Swagbucks is?
Swag Bucks are the web's premier digital dollar. Accumulate at your own pace and redeem them for exclusive Swagbucks.com prizes.
How it works:
You earn Swagbucks by searching the web, watching videos, doing surveys, even trading in old electronics!
What can you buy with Swagbucks? Well I save mine (450) for $5.00 Amazon cards, but they have everything from Digital Wallpapers to Ps3s to $500 QVC giftcards. If you want to sign up, simply follow this link Swagbucks.

3/7 Shopping trip

I'll be running to Walgreen's, Target, and possibly Walmart today.

I want to get some of my free items and also need to get a few 'extras' like dinner (lol!) and coffee and soda.

A few of the coupons that I found for today that are really awsome are here:

Walgreen's deals:

Use 2 $0.75/1 coupons found here (scroll down)
Final cost $1.00 for two bottles of Coffee-mate

Select Children’s Pediacare $5 off with in ad coupon
Deal Scenario #1:
Buy 2 Pediacare Infants fever reducer infants drops 0.5 oz $5.99 each (based on online price)

Deal Scenario #2:

Plus, use the $5/1 in ad coupon (will deduct $10)
Final cost $0.49 each!

I suppose, only because they are free, I will get these as well
Pure Protein Bars $0.99
Use the $1/1 coupon found here (will need to be adjusted down a penny)
You have to register for this one, they send you an e-mail, and you print from the e-mail. Again remember to press your back button and get 2!

Just a note, you can print Walgreen's coupons online, now, but if you can get the flier, save your ink and paper.

BIG NEWS!
Rayovac coupons have 'reset'? Go here:
and Like them on Facebook. It will bring you to their coupon page and you can print a Save $1.00 on ANY Rayovac Batteries. Be sure to press your back button and print 2!
The great news about this deal is they have them at Walmart for .97c, so guess what that means? Yup 6cents back on your basket purchase!

Target:
I have leftover coupons for Excedrin Migrane (I don't believe they are available anymore)
Will be checking the price on coffee here (have a Maxwell House coupon, which is available on the Target Coupon site here: Target coupons )
and possible free cat food
The Good Life Recipe Food for Cats $0.69-$0.79
Use the $1.50/1 coupon found here (use zip code 90210)
Final cost FREE!
I am assuming it's a small bag lol.

Now I just have to figure out what to do for dinner!

Very important info before you go to the store with your coupons

Many store clerks and cashiers don't know their own corporate coupon policies. Be sure to print a copy of your store's coupon policy before going.

I personally only go to Walmart, Walgreens, Target, and Pick&Save, so I have included links to their coupon policy here:

Walmart's coupon policy:
http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx
Walmart's price matching policy:
http://walmartstores.com/7659.aspx

The best new change to Walmart's coupon policy is their "overage" policy. This means that if you have a .97c item, and you use a $1.00 coupon, not only do you get it free, they give you the .03 back on your basket balance.
Another thing you may not know is this:
Walmart Accepts Checkout coupons
  • (also called "Catalinas") that are printed at our competitors' registers, have "Manufacturer Coupon" with specific requirements printed on them, a valid remit address for the manufacturer, valid expiration date, and a scannable bar code.
What does this mean? Simply that, yes, you CAN take your Register Rewards from Walgreen's and use them at Walmart. (Remember you can only use 1 coupon PER item, so you may need 'filler' items).

Walgreen's Coupon Policy:

http://www.walgreens.com/topic/help/generalhelp/coupon_policy_main.jsp?_requestid=37856

Target Coupon Policy:
http://www.target.com/Coupon-Policy-Store-Merchandise-Information/b?ie=UTF8&node=2223357011
Target Price Matching Policy:
http://sites.target.com/site/en/company/page.jsp?contentId=WCMP04-040400

Pick&Save Coupon Policy:
http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/2010/03/rainbow-foods-coupon-policies/
(The dates on this one are a little weird, they still allow doubling on both Weds AND Saturday in our area, call your local store to find out if they double for you too!)
One note about Pick&Save is they DO NOT accept printed 'free' or 'bogo' coupons.

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to Coupon Mom! My name is Beth, just like it says up there ^^, I started this blog to help friends and strangers alike save some money on their normal shopping with coupons.
I recently was introduced to coupons myself, and am amazed how many things I have gotten for very cheap or free! The most important thing to keep in mind with coupons is to only use the ones for the items that you already use. You're not going to save any money if you are a Parent's Choice diaper user, and all of a sudden you start using Huggies with a $1.00 off coupon for example.

I would also like to give 95% of my credit to the following sites:
Without these sites I would have no idea what *I* am even doing. I am just going to give you guys an insight on the coupons that I think are practical deals, and show you exactly how I do what I do.

I will also be able to bring you guys to the store with me and show you how I use my coupons live. You simply need to 'subscribe' to my show here:
I will try my best to schedule times that I go to the store on a regular basis.
With all this being said, welcome to my blog and I hope I can save you as much as I save myself!
